About Us

Vickie Maloney

I started out training my own dogs as child. By the time I was and adult I knew what my passion was.  I enrolled in my first dog training class in 1976 with my Afghan hound, Sarah. In 1979 I got my 1st Golden Retriever, Star. The difference in training my 1st two dogs  was night and day. I learned quickly that  not all dogs learn in the same way.  That is where I developed my thirst for learning more about Behavior in dogs. It was on!  My Love for Dogs and Learning as much as I could about dogs  grow stronger and stronger  with each dog I had the pleasure of training.

I moved to Florida from California in 1979. Shortly after I moved here I joined a local dog training club. I had some wonderful instructors there. Soon I was entering Obedience competitions. Star was a Fantastic first dog for competition. Our first weekend out we won a 1st place and Yes! I was hooked big time.  By now I have shown 11 dogs in Obedience. Every dog I have ever shown in obedience has earn multiple perfect scores in heeling. I have accomplished 9 CD's, 5 CDX's 3 UD's.  I have 3 dogs with Multi High In Trials (HIT). Through the years that I showed in obedience I also did some Breed showing, tracking  and participated in Hunt Tests with my Goldens. We had a lot of fun and earned many titles. Five of my Goldens earned Working Certificate Excellent Titles which is the highest level the Golden Retriever club of America has. In 1995 I started getting interested in Dog Agility Training. My first dog in Agility was Timer, he didn't  seem like he was going to like it much, he was very to laid back and I didn't think he had much desire to do it. My instructor insisted that I  enter him in a trial. Its a good thing she insisted. When I sat him on the start line I really was not  expecting much. But when I released him from the start line he took off so fast, I was shocked, I could hardly keep up with him. He got a 1st place and is responsible for  getting me hooked on Agiliity! I have 2 dogs with multiple MACH's (Master Agility Championship)  and 2 more on their way to Championships!

For years I taught advanced Obedience classes at our local dog club. In 1994 I was persuaded to start teaching my own classes. I started out teaching Puppy / Basic obedience classes, advanced Obedience training and doing lessons in Behavior Training.

In 1999 I added Dog Agility Training classes at that time Jackie took over the Puppy / Basic obedience training classes.
